Sunrisers Hyderabad is a professional cricket franchise that plays in the Indian Premier League. They are one-time champions of IPL lifting the trophy back in 2016 beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Final. David Warner led the team in his tenure as captain with the side and brought the only trophy. Since then, the Sunrisers have struggled in the IPL finishing at the bottom of the table multiple times.
A Quick History of Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad joined the IPL in 2013, taking the place of the Deccan Chargers. After the Deccan management faced financial troubles and then declared defaulter, Sun TV Network took control of the franchise. The Hyderabad IPL team's lineup was disclosed in Chennai in 2012.
Sun TV Network secured ownership with a bid of ₹85.05 crore (US$11 million) per year for a five-year deal, stepping in after the Chargers had financial difficulties and were discontinued. This TV Network is one of the largest media networks in the country and usually the CEO of the team is Kavya Maran who is quite active in her responsibilities like watching teams match in the stadium and picking up players in the IPL Cricket Auction.
SRH Team Name, Logo, Slogan, and colors
The name of the Hyderabad IPL team was obviously kept Sunriser Hyderabad as the Sun Network took over the franchise in 2012. The logo of the Hyderabad franchise is indeed commanding and powerful. It actually shows an eagle against the backdrop of the rising sun which symbolizes that Sunrisers will fight for victory till the end.
The team uses its anthem as Orange or Nothing, which means they will support the Orange team (Sunrisers Hyderabad) or else no other team.
Home Ground and Fan Base of SRH
The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, located in Uppal, Hyderabad, Telangana, is the main cricket venue and the home ground of the Sunrisers Hyderabad. It's owned by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and can seat 55,000 people.
In the past, the Sunrisers Hyderabad had also used Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, as their second home ground. The Orange Army is the official name of their fan base and the stadium is also decorated with Orange color. During their home matches, the whole stadium turned orange color with fans waving flags and banners in support of their Hyderabad IPL team.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Rivalry with Royal Challenger Bangalore:
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has a strong rivalry with another top IPL team, Hyderabad, specifically the Deccan Chargers. In the 2009 IPL Cricket season, the Deccan Chargers won their first trophy by defeating RCB in the final match.
Fast forward to 2016, David Warner's team from Hyderabad again beat RCB in the IPL final. Apart from on-field competition, there have been off-field controversies between the teams, making their rivalry even more intense and interesting.
