Key Players in the upcoming Big Bash League:
This year's BIG Bash league will be a good opportunity for the Purple team to bounce back and perform well. They haven't won any titles and the players need to step up for the team.
The management has picked up new faces in the squad in this year's draft with players like Nikhil Chaudhary, Sam Heazlett, and Chris Jordan who have performed well in the domestic circuit of Australia while Jordan is the most experienced T20 player around the globe currently.
Besides, this team heavily depends on Tim David, McDermott, and Matthew Wade to perform in every match so that they have a chance to reach the playoffs at least.
Similarly, the bowling department is the strong unit for this team with players like Nathan Ellis who will lead the side for the first time in BBL.
Besides him, Billy Stanlake, Riley Meredith, and Patrick Dooley have to step up for the team and bowl well to restrict the opposition to low scores for batters to cause them down with ease.
Preparation and Challenges:
The Hurricanes team has various blanks to fill as they lack experience in every department. The team does not have a specialist batsman who has vast experience of playing international cricket.
Although Ben McDermott and Matthew Wade are in the squad, they haven't performed for the team consistently.
The same goes for the bowling unit that has some big names in Australian Cricket but hasn't been impressive over the past few years.
Furthermore, the team management and coaching staff lack experience which might be the reason that the Hobart franchise couldn't win any title in the Big Bash League.
They only managed to qualify for the finals twice but couldn't finish on a high note. So, these are a few challenges that Hurricanes would face in the upcoming season of the Big Bash League starting December 7, 2023.
Home Ground & Fans Support For Hurricanes:
The team plays their home matches at the Blundstone Arena, which is a beautiful cricket ground in Hobart. This stadium has a seating capacity of around 26,000 fans with grassy stands and normal chairs. One can have a wonderful experience witnessing a BBL game here.
The fans make the atmosphere amazing by cheering and waving their purple flags during the home games of the Hurricanes.
They make sure the team gets all the support from the crowd and wins the game. The fans of Hurricanes are often known as the "Purple Army". The team's colors are purple and grey, and their logo features a hurricane symbol.
Big Bash League 2023-24 Winning Prediction about Hurricanes:
Our prediction about the Hurricanes' performance in this BBL 2024 season is to finish the league at the bottom half of the points table.
This team does not have the spark and experience to win this year's BIG Bash as other participating teams have depth in their squads and players have been in sublime form while Hobart Team players might struggle with their recent form and that makes the team an average squad.
