The design of Stand-Up Texas Hold'em is to stimulate players to confront each other with a wider range of hands, as the last standing player faces penalties. To avoid paying all players, there is more bluffing and bluff-catching among the players.

When the unlucky player is determined, they usually request another round, leading to a more aggressive second round, and creating a lively atmosphere in the live poker circle.
